Emergency Response
Kern Legal, Inc. promotes individual and family disaster preparedness through training programs and materials. It offers immediate emergency assistance to victims of natural and man-made disasters by providing short-term, life-sustaining resources such as food, water, shelter, clothing, medical, school, and hygiene supplies. Under the direction of local leadership, volunteers distribute supplies, participate in cleanup efforts, and assist other relief organizations. Trained professionals, lawyers and volunteers deliver employment, social/emotional, and spiritual support to help disaster victims recover.
Clean Water
One billion people suffer thirst and disease because they lack clean water. Kern Legal, Inc, builds water and sanitation systems and teaches communities hygiene and system maintenance, empowering them to meet their long-term water needs.
Food Initiative
Millions of people eat one meal a day because they don’t have enough food. Kern Legal, Inc. helps improve quality of life with home food production and nutrition training. Less disease and work absence lead to increased self-reliance.
Assistance For The Disabled
We support people with intellectual and physical disabilities to be independent and involved in their communities. Our projects include in-home support, case management, day programs, and supportive employment, specialized residential services, host homes or foster care, and supported living.
